Elegance Layouts for Divi Builder
My interest in Divi started with a position that I was applying for. The role required knowledge of a visual builder, such as Divi or Gutenburg. I opted to go for Divi as reception I saw at the 2018 Word Camp San Diego for Gutenburg was lackluster at best.
The first steps in learning a new platform or builder is to look into already made tutorials that walk you through the steps of building a site that incorporates many of the tools and functionality, which lead to me to the Elegance layout tutorial. This was the basis of the site from which I am looking to further enhance.
As the first site I built through Divi it allowed me to learn the ins and outs of the builder. Once these fundamentals were understood it became very easy to look at other Divi layouts and be able to pick apart how the website was built on the platform.
Potentional issues were:
Not familiar with visual builders
Barrier to entry and commitment for the price of Divi
Solutions to implement:
Learning the Divi platform on a fundamental level, from which I could expand into other websites and projects.
Look into multiple tutorials and user created / Elegant Themes layouts to understand the building blocks of the tool and manipulate that knowledge into visually stunning layouts.

Solution
Keeping along with the online tutorial as well as the supplemental tutorials posted for custom styles I created my first site using the Divi platform.
